What is the IH Madrid Business English course?
This course is designed for teachers who have completed a TEFL course, or have some experience in teaching English as a foreign language but who have either limited experience of teaching in-companies or need to develop their current skills to inline with the ever increasing demands of the corporate client.

Course Aims

To enable participants to acquire the necessary basic knowledge and practical skills necessary to teach professional English classes effectively and lay the foundations for the further development of participants' teaching skills in this context.

 

Methodology
The course is delivered in the form of seminars, workshops and loop-input sessions.
Participants are expected to take an active role in all areas of the course, taking notes and being involved in evaluating all topic areas via role play, discussion, peer teaching, materials development and tasks. Participants will develop lessons and materials for use in their own teaching environment.

 

How many hours?
The course consists of 30 hours of practical-based seminars and workshops to equip teachers with all aspects of teaching English in companies. Participants who complete the course will receive an attendance certificate with detailed contents of the course.

 

Where is it run and when is the next course?
The current course takes place every alternate Saturday morning from 10am - 1pm, starting October and February. We also have an intensive course in the last two weeks of September.
